~*Our First Week!*~
We had a fun first week getting to know each other! Here are a few of the things we got to do!
After lunch we have Quiet Reading Time.

It's a good way to relax. Especially since many of us were asking when rest time was.......

Some of us earned brain bucks for reading so quietly!

We made a fun book about ourselves!

Every morning we work in our Everyday Learning books.

We played a fun word family game.

We had to use our pencil and a paper clip as our spinner.

We illustrated a poem about apples and highlighted the sight words.

Then we got to have FUN FRIDAY!!

Lincoln logs were pretty popular.

Some of us chose to save our money and went to the library.

The library is always FREE!

What a fun group of kiddos!

Field Trip!
We are so lucky here at W-K to have a supportive PTA!
They paid for our recent field trip to the Onalaska YMCA!
It was SO much fun!

We started out our day playing soccer!

Then we went inside and did some strength training.
Wall sits are hard!

Superman!

Wheelbarrow.

Crab crawl!

Our favorite was Zumba!

Our last station was kickball!

What a cool bunch of kids!

We were hungry by the time we were done!

...and CHILLY!

What fun day, with a FUN group of kiddos!
Thanks PTA!

Hermit Crabs!
Earlier this month we were the host classroom for a cage of hermit crabs!
We had so much fun learning all about them!

We became scientists and learned all about their diet, habitat and special qualities.

Did you know hermit crabs have 10 legs?!

We thought they were pretty funny, one of them especially silly and would climb the side of the cage!

On a Friday we did a little spring cleaning.

We thought that might make spring actually happen...... we were wrong.

We wrote about how to take care of hermit crabs. They're a lot of work!

On the last day we got to touch and hold them!

WHOA!

We had to be very gentle!

We had an Easter egg hunt in our classroom!

We were given a money amount and had to find the egg with that same amount.

Before we could eat our jelly beans we had to figure out 4 different ways to make the number of jelly beans we had!

Easter journaling.
