Gage Goes to Kindergarten......
Gage and I came to visit my kindergartners today!
They had lots of fun looking at him and asking questions about him.
I can't believe how much they have changed in only two weeks since I've been gone!
I am loving my time at home with Gage, but it was good to see my kiddos!

Welcome Baby Glick!

Hello kindergartners! Were you a little surprised when you got to school on Monday and I wasn't there? I was busy taking care of this little person!
Meet Gage Garrett Glick!
He was born on Saturday and weighed 7 lbs. and was 20 inches long!
He's a peanut!
We think he's pretty cute, what do you think?

Gage's favorite things to do are eat, sleep, and hang out with his mommy and daddy.
Do you like to do any of those things?

Mr. Glick and I are so happy that Gage is finally here!

I am excited to bring him to meet you all sometime soon, but we're going to let him grow a little bit before I bring him to school. Do you think he's ready for kindergarten? :)

I miss you all so much! I hope that you are showing Mrs. Meyer what AWESOME listeners you are! She let's me know all the great things that you are doing!

See you sometime soon!
Love, Mrs. Glick

Somewhere Over the Rainbow

This week we learned about weather!
One of our centers had star words written on clouds that we had to copy.

We played Memory at another center. It's hard to remember where those matches are!

Our tornados had numbers on them, we had to write what numbers came next.

Someone lost their first tooth this week!

We made "I Can" rainbows! First we had to pick which "I Can" sentences fit for us..... None of us could choose "I can drive" yet!

Didn't they turn out cute?!

On Friday we worked on a Rainbow Rhyme, and made a color block rainbow.

Lots of sticky fingers during this project!

We had our Spring Sing on Friday night!

We got all "spiffed" up!

We looked so cute!

The gang before it was our turn to sing!

Mr. Ableman even came and listened to us!

It's a Big, Big World!

We started off our week getting to read with our football friends from Winona State!

We had lots of books for them to read.

We had lots of fun Easter centers this week. At this center we had to figure out how many eggs were in the ten frames, and then fill it our on our baskets.

We also had to compare numbers in two baskets, record them in ten frames and then designate which number was bigger!

We had to pattern peeps!

We also made pretty Easter eggs.

We worked on a book where we had to subtract! We're practicing remembering that when you subtract, the number gets smaller.

Global Awareness Day
On Thursday we had Global Awareness day at W-K!
We got to travel to and learn about four different countries.

We started our day in China! They taught us how to play a game.
If we won we got our name written in Chinese. It looks a little different than English.

We learned how to say "hello" in Chinese, "Ni-how"!

Next we traveled to South Korea. We got to try on some traditional Korean clothes.
They were beautiful!

We also got to play with some fans and traditional drums.

We played a game similar to hacky sack.

Next we learned about Nepal.
They showed us some cool pictures of Mt. Everest!

They played some cool music we got to dance to.

Our last stop was Taiwan!

They taught us another fun game kind of like Cat and Mouse.

Thank you to PTA and Winona State for putting on such a fun and educational day!!

Every year I have my kids guess my age on my birthday......
88 really?! :)

Sneaky........Sneaky........Leprechauns!
We came into our classroom last Monday to a huge MESS!

A leprechaun had gotten into our classroom and caused some trouble!

We couldn't believe it!

We heard that someone saw the leprechaun was down by the office, so we went to check.
When we got back our milk had been turned GREEN!!!!

We drank it anyway, Mrs. Glick said it was lucky milk.

We had lots of fun St. Patrick's day centers.
We had to add with shamrocks.

We had to highlight numbers as we listened to our number cd.

We compared shamrocks and identified which number was bigger.

We played an addition game on the smart board.

We practiced adding and our teen numbers.

We like having time to read out of our book boxes.

We even worked on a story about a leprechaun!

What a fun week!
