What's Been Happening in First Grade?
We've been busy these last few weeks! Check out what we've been up to!

We had our Read-a-thon!

At the end of the day we got root beer floats!

As a school we raised over $10,000 dollars!
This money is used for field trips, classroom supplies and much more!

Someone from our class was the BIG winner! He even got a Nook!
Our class was also the top fundraising class, we get a PIZZA PARTY!!

YUM!

We've been working on identifying numbers before and after.

We've also had fun playing a game called "Sixes"!

One person starts writing numbers to 100, while the other partners roll a die trying to get a 6!
If they do, then they switch and do the writing.

We like working in our math journals.

Working hard on those story problems!

Ordering numbers!

Matching numerals to ten frames.

We really like this game at the smart board station.

We are learning about NOUNS!

We think this song is funny!

We are becoming excellent reading coaches to our friends!

As well as great math coaches! It's all about being positive and supportive!

Our Daily 5 rotations are up and running and we are great at them!
Every year I need to be reminded just how important it is to take them slow and make sure we understand how each station works!

The end result is students working the whole time, doing a great job!

We got visited by some special Winhawks!

Two members from the Winhawk football team. They told us how important it is to be Winhawk readers!
Thanks Winhawks!

Have a fabulous week!
