Dr. Seuss
"You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose!"

We celebrated Dr. Seuss day a week ago.

We had some of our family come in and read with us!

The Cat in the Hat even read to us!

We Seuss'd ourselves!

Our snack leader helps with calendar every morning.

We got to use the ipads during math centers this week.

Lots and lots of story problems!

Ronald McDonald came to our school on Thursday!
He was super funny and talked to us about how important it is to read!

We talked about the difference between common nouns and proper nouns.

We did a writing activity about a melting snowman!
Too funny!

What Does the Fox Say?

The kids are always begging to do "the Fox" song! It has turned into our Friday tradition.
Too funny to watch!

A Normal Week in First Grade
And by normal I mean....5 full days!

During our Jr. Achievement time this week we learned how to read a map.

We had to identify what the 'key' was and what each symbol means.

One of our math centers this week was building numbers using base ten blocks.

Assessments.....assessments....assessments! Tis' that time of the year again!

These kiddos are having fun playing Addition Bingo!

L. is enjoying her time on MoreStarfall.com

On Friday our WSU Football friends came to read with us!

We gave them LOTS of books to choose from!

Happy March!
