Children's Museum & Chuck E. Cheese!
We had such a great time on our field trip this week!
Here's a peek at all the great things we got to do!

Our day started out at the Children's Museum.

We had a cool presentation on Mississippi river animals.

We even got to touch some animal pelts.

And kiss some fish!

Then we broke into groups to explore the museum! Here is a group in the Possibility Playground. They had fun building!

Pin screen!

Whoosh machine!

Playing in the tree house!

Trying out the penny machine.

Driving the fire truck.

This was a game, kind of like having a smart board on the ground! They had to catch the frogs in order to get points! So fun!

Reading today's news!

..and telling us the weather. His words, "There's a tornado in this state, watch out people!"

In the drive-through at the bank!

Building bridges with the crane.
Discovering dinosaurs in the dinosaur maze!

Buying hot dogs at the mini Kwik Trip!

Putting out fires at the fire station.

What an awesome group of kiddos!
This is when they were telling me, "We're SO hungry!" :)

After the museum, we loaded up the bus and headed to Chuck E. Cheese for pizza, games and a little math activity.....

Each student was given 32 tokens, a clip board and a pencil....

They had to record the name, number of tokens used and how many tickets earned -- for the first six games they played.

They quickly learned which games gave lots of tickets!

Once they recorded their results for their first six games, they brought me their clipboard and recorded how many tokens they had left and how many tickets they had earned.

We're going to make some graphs of our data we collected this week!

YUMMY pizza + happy kiddos = GREAT day to be a first grader!

Thank you so much to our PTA for allowing us to go on this trip! I had 20 happy and tired first graders!
