Children's Museum & Chuck E. Cheese
We were so excited to go on our field trip today!
We wrote about what we were most excited to do in our L.S.S journals.

At the Museum we had a presentation about Mississippi river animals and their habitats.
We got to touch and feel a variety of different animal pelts.

The air tubes were lots of fun to play with!

You got to put balls and scarves in and back them fly through the tubes!

We also liked playing in the mini Kwik Trip.

Smile!

Downstairs they had a giant water table.

And a big boat!

The train set was also fun to play with.

At the dinosaur station we got to make fossil rubbings.

They had a mini fire station and fire truck.

Like Father like son:)

Dispatcher says "Emergency!"

There was a giant pin board, you could push your whole body into it.....

....and see your shape on the other side.

Playing in the drive-thru at the bank!

Future newscasters?

Everyone was hungry by the time we got to Chuck E. Cheese!

YUMMY pizza!

Everyone got 16 tokens....we had to use them wisely!

Some of us were a little tired on the way home.

Successful field trip:)

A BIG thank you to the W-K PTA for paying for our field trip, we had a BLAST!

Also, thank you to the chaperones for all your help!

Super e!!
This week we are learning about SUPER E!
Words with a silent e on the end.

We made some super e headbands!

Super e makes the short sounds long!

We had to highlight all the super e words.

We also read a fun book!

We also have been having lots of fun singing this song!

Make sure to help your child practice their silent e words for their spelling test on Friday!

End of November Already?!
One of our math centers this month was matching numbers to base ten blocks.

I was able to catch a few families at the Family Breakfast!

We finished up learning about Owls!

I hope we were able to WOW you with some of our facts!

We had some WSU Health students come and teach us about eating healthy.

We had to pretend that we were grocery shopping and only buy the things that were healthy.

Since our week of Thanksgiving was short we had our own "Blue Tuesday".
All of our Fun Friday activities were on sale!

Lots and lots of puzzles!

Gobble, Gobble!

We read the story "The Elf on the Shelf". Last year in my kindergarten class Santa sent us an elf to watch our good behavior. In first grade we have to write Santa and see if he will send us an elf! We're crossing our fingers!!

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! Hard to believe we're already into December!!
