Hello Kindergarten--Almost First Grade Families!

I hope everyone is having a fantastic summer!! I just wanted to share an app with you that I recently found! It is an app for your phone or ipad that levels books!

The app is called "Level It Books" it costs $2.99 and so far has been worth the money!

This is what it looks like in the app store.

There is a page that gives book suggestions by grade level.

Here is an example of how it works. You simply click the 'scan' button on the bottom right and hold it over the barcode on the back of the book.

The page above will come up once it scans. Our school district goes by the Guided Reading Level (gr-- third to the right under the yellow checkout box).

For example: "Goodnight Moon" is level H.

Here is another example of a level B book.

This is an awesome tool that I will definitely be using in the classroom next year, but it would also be great to use at home! Not ALL books come up with a level, but of the stack that I tried the majority did!
