**Half Way to 100!**
Can you believe we've already been in kindergarten for 50 days!?
We're half way to 100 and a fun 100th day!

We played Uno at free exploration time this week!

We also got out the lacing station.

Our fourth grade buddies made us a special Thanksgiving project!

We got to help them color it!

We played a new game this week call "Rock, Paper, Scissors, SPLITS!"

It was a lot of fun!

Uh oh! Splits!

We played Connect Three.

We had to roll a dice and color in that number to try to get three numbers close together.

We read a book about fall, and highlighted all of our star words.

We also turned into Turkeys!!

Check out our Rock, Paper, Scissors, SPLITS game!

Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Get out and VOTE!
We got to vote this week just like the grown ups!
We had to sign our name and write what school we went to.

Then we got to go to the voters box!

Important decisions!

We were voting for which kind of M&M was our favorite.
Peanut or Plain?

Looks just like the real thing, right?

When we were done voting, we got a sticker that said "I voted"!

The results were in......PLAIN M&M's are our favorite!

At centers this week we got to play with shaving cream!
We wrote our names in it!

And got just a little bit messy.

It was lots of fun!

We used our new star word "see" in our journals this week.

Then we got to highlight! That's always fun!

One of our centers was rhyming bingo!

I give two points to anyone who can figure out who's mom this is!

Another great week in kindergarten!

Our Spooky Week!
On Halloween, we weren't our regular kindergarten selves,
we were:
A butterfly

Spiderman

Wolverine

A witch.

A black kitty cat.

A bride.

A ninja.

Mario!

A ninja.

A witch.

Alice in Wonderland.

A vampire.

Snow White.

A princess.

Ninja Turtle.

A skeleton.

A police officer.

Cupid.

A monster.

We were quite the group of characters!

We loved our ORANGE snack!

The police officer's sister stopped by for the party!

A witch and Alice were friends.

So were the vampire and Snow White.

On Thursday we had visitors from Winona State.

Our classroom is part of the Warrior Reads Program.

Every month some Winona state football players come and read to us!

We read lots of good books!

We got a new star word this week.  "I"

So we journaled the sentence "I swim."

We got to hang out with our fourth grade buddies again!

They read to us and helped us graph!

Lots of good readers this month!
We read a total of 415 books as a class! WOW!

We had two top readers, reading 62 books a piece!

We had some time for some singing and dancing after our Halloween snack!
